I lived across the street from Carl and his sister Cindy on Millgate Rd in Louisville. We lost touch when he joined the Navy when he was 17 but I often think of him when I remember the adventures we had when we were kids such as the time he convinced me it would be a good idea to paint the inside of his garage with a can of paint we found. We painted the freezer, the inside of the windows and some car tires that were inside. As you can imagine when his mother got home she was not impressed with our efforts. That’s just one of our many adventures. Carl, I’ll remember you forever. Rest In Peace. Steve Dean

Met "Red" about 27 years ago when we worked at Naval Ordnance Plant together . We were in our 30's and full of "Piss & Vinegar". He lived in a house close to the plant. There was no electric or heat in that house at that time & he slept on the floor in a sleeping bag. We talked a lot about survival, (and the what if's). I will miss you, my friend, and will see you again some day!

We would like to send our prayers and condolences to all of the family. For me it was both an Honor and a Privilege to have served with him and call him my friend

I love you Dad. I'm going to miss our crazy times. Our summers. You was my soldier. I'll never stop thinking of you. And you will live in my heart forever. You made your dreams come true. I hope Circle D Ranch stays as beautiful as you made it. I love you so much! I'm proud to say "Crazy Red" was my daddy.
