Herman Carl "Red" Moore, age 59 of Irvington, KY died Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Louisville, KY on May 3, 1957. Red served in the United States Navy and Army National Guard. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1 and the Civil War re-enactment. He was a very talented artist, enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his grandchildren.

Red was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather - Mary Nell and Charles Kibbons and his stepmother - Becky Moore.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Lynn Hawkins Moore of Irvington, KY

2 children - Nicole Welker of Louisville, KY
Jeremy McCoy (Trina) of Cloverport, KY
4 grandchildren - Donovan Moore, Destiny Alvey, Haylee and Wyatt McCoy
1 sister - Cindy Smith (Jim) of Louisville, KY
1 stepbrother - Jared Longman (Jennifer) of Rockmart, GA

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 12 PM with military honors. Visitation will be held on Friday, 4-8 PM and Saturday after 8 AM.
