Mary Lois Irwin, age 78 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, March 3, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Owensboro, KY on October 15, 1938, the daughter of the late Coleman and Mary Ethel Pate Limer.

She retired from American Olean/Dal-Tile after working at both facilities in Lewisport and Cloverport.  Mary Lois was a faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church and WMU. She enjoyed cooking, baking - especially strwawberry pies which were a favorite of her family, gardening, reading her bible and helping others. Her family was very important and she treasured times spent with them.

Mary Lois was preceded in death by her husband William L. “Billy” Irwin, brother David Limer and sisters Virginia Basham and Diane Limer.

She is survived by 4 children: Marilyn Troxle (Pete) and Karen Adkins (Darrell) of Hardinsburg, KY

Debbie Blandford (Tim) of  Philpot, KY

7 grandchildren – Scott Troxle (Sarah), Brian Troxle (Sandra), Dallas Blandford, Tara Greenwell (Randy), Derek Adkins, Madison Maysey (Austin) and Trey Irwin

 9 great grandchildren: Ryan Morales, Alexandra Troxle, Miranda and Faith Klinglesmith, Caidence Troxle, Trenton Brown, Kenleigh, Kailyn and Chelsea Greenwell

Funeral services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church on Monday, March 6, 2017at 11 AM with Rev. Glenn Basham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, 3-8 PM and Monday 8:30 – 10:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Breckinridge County Association for the Handicapped or Pocket Full of Hope.
