James Edmond "Eddie" O'DonoghueNovember 30, 1954 ~ October 3, 2017 (age 62)
James Edmond “Eddie” O’Donoghue, age 62 of McDaiels, KY died Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on November 30, 1954, the son of the late James Franklin “Buddy” and Kathleen Brown O’Donoghue. Eddie was a devout Catholic and member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He was a member of the Kentucky Cattleman’s Association. Eddie was a farmer, a job that he truly loved. He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding and riding his motorcycle. He never met a stranger, made friends easily and always wanted to help anyone in need. He not only offered help physically, but mentally, financially and spiritually. Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. When the grandchildren visited, his farming operation shut down and he devoted his time to them. He loved his family, gave the best hugs, always found the positive in life, not the negative, even after being diagnosed with his illness. He felt thankful and blessed and was very courageous to the end.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Ricky O’Donoghue and his sister Connie Webster.
Eddie is survived by his wife Janice Miles O’Donoghue who he married August 11, 1973.
