William "Bill" James Bruce

William "Bill" James Bruce, age 43 of Louisville, KY , passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born in Louisville, KY on January 4, 1978, the son of Lea and the late Robert "Bob" Bruce, Sr. At a young age, Bill loved singing in church with his favorite song being Jesus Loves Me. He enjoyed singing, quickly becoming a fan favorite on karaoke night and at competitions, as well as spending time with his family and friends. He spent the last years of his life providing care for his mother, whom he cherished dearly.

In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Annie Brown Bruce of Louisville and Sam and Helen Sosh Dowell of Hardinsburg.

Bill is survived by his mother Lea Bruce, one brother Bobby (Kathy) Bruce, one sister Pam (Rick) Jones, 6 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews and countless extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 1 PM central time. Burial will be in the Horsley Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, 4-8 PM central time and Monday after 9 am central time.
