William Travis Moegling

William Travis Moegling, age 41, of Hardinsburg, KY, died on Monday, November 1, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Lexington, KY on May 27, 1980 to William Richard Moegling and the late Sherry Lynn Casey. Since moving to Breckinridge County, he had worked as a sales associate with Rough River Hardware and most recently at Rough River Liquors. Over the years, Travis had worked as a cook in several high-end restaurants in both Lexington and Louisville. He enjoyed woodworking and lived a very simple life. 

Travis is survived by his father and step-mother: William Richard Moegling and Jerry Ann Hayes of Westview, Ky

Sister: Kimberly Kretz and her husband Scott of Huntsville, AL

Nieces and Nephews: Haley, Grace and Ryan Kretz of Huntsville, AL

Cremation was chosen by the family.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 10-12 CT at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Breckinridge County Animal Shelter in honor of his cat Josh who was adopted from a shelter or to a Charity of Choice.
