William Paul Mitchell

William Paul Mitchell, age 72 of Chenault, KY passed away August 8, 2022 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Chenault, KY on July 27, 1950, son of the late William Carl and Mary Venita Shelman Mitchell. Paul was a lifelong farmer having remained in the "Chenault Bottoms" where he was raised. He loved the choice he made to stay on the farm and has passed that love along to his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but most importantly he loved his family, especially his grandsons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Edwin Lee Mitchell.

Paul is survived by his wife Sue Robbins Mitchell of Chenault, KY; Son - Justin William Mitchell of Chenault, KY;  Daughters - Shannon Leigh Mitchell of Payneville, KY; Jessica Lacey (Lucas A.) Mangum of Lamar, IN and Alayna Angela (DePaul) Mitchell - Dowell of Bardstown, KY;  Grandsons - Jax William Mangum and Bastian Franklin Dowell;  Brother - James Gordon Mitchell of Chenault, KY; Sisters - Anna Carol (Wallace) McLaughlin of Heath, OH; Sue Strait (Bud) and Alice Catherine (Daniel) Macey of Louisville, KY and their families

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, August 12, 2022 at 12 PM with burial in the St. Theresa Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday after 8:30 AM.
