William Owen Kennedy

William Owen Kennedy, age 79 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born in Breckinridge County on February 11, 1941, the son of the late Lum and Mary Berry Kennedy. Willie, as he was affectionately known by his family and friends, was a CB radio operator and repairman. Over the years, he made many friends with his hobby. He enjoyed farming, fishing and fast cars. Willie attended Hillcrest Baptist Church for many years, until his health declined.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Jesse and Frank Kennedy.

Willie is survived by his companion of many years Anna Lee Basham of Hardinsburg, KY

3 children" Sheila Crowe and Charles Kennedy (Sharon) of McQuady, KY and Tracy Priest of Cloverport, KY

7 grandchildren: Jason Crowe (Mistey), Shalena Hittle (Dakota), Dillion Patrick Wayne Kennedy, Kristan and Douglas Priest, Destiny and J D Blair

2 great grandchildren: Jaycee and Hank Crowe

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 12 PM with Rev. Bob Walton officiating. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday beginning at 9:30 AM.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Restorations Church Recovery Program.

The number of those attending visitation and the funeral service shall be within the current health and safety directives. Please do not bring food or drinks to the funeral home as they are not allowed at this time.
