Vivian Elaine Monroe

Vivian Elaine Monroe, age 71 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away at her residence Tuesday, November 2, 2021. Born December 6, 1949, Vivian was preceded in death by her former husband Greg Irwin, parents Milburn and Bonnie Monroe and grandson Jacob Henning.

She is survived by daughters: Lori (Kevin) Bennett and Katie (Maurice) Henning of Hardinsburg, KY; a son Chris (Traci) Hansford of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren: Slade (Bekah) Bennett, Drake Bennett, Karissa Henning and Braxton Henning; a sister Malina (Mike) Berry and nieces Marti (Phil) Johnson and Trisha Struddle.

She was affectionately called Nonna by her grandchildren and their friends. She was a little woman with a big heart and even bigger smile! She was artistic and crafty and enjoyed going to the movies and watching her grandkids play sports, sing and perform in concert and marching band.

Vivian had a talent for repurposing and refurbishing. She had a green thumb and loved growing herbs, plants and flowers. She was a gifted stylist with a 30 year career in formal wear, working for Great Beginnings, C J's Bridal Boutique, Laurene's Bridal, Geno's Formal Affair and Lori's Tux Shop.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date at her favorite place - Dale Hollow Lake.
