Sue Rita Robertson

Sue Rita Robertson, age 84 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, July 3, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on September 7, 1935, the daughter of the late Harry Edwin and Leona Catherine Mattingly McCoy. Sue was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had a very caring voice, a beautiful smile and a heart full of love for her family. She and her late husband made a wonderful home for their seven children, which continued to their families as well. Sue enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising flowers, but most importantly, she adored her family and the gatherings they had.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leland Cline Robertson, siblings Charles McCoy, William Ray McCoy, Edwin Eugene McCoy, Samantha Parson and Patty Sadler.

Sue is survived by her children: Donna Moore (Darryl) of Sellersburg, IN, Brenda Frank (Eddie) of Garfield, KY, Rick Robertson (Kay) of Elizabethtown, KY, Becky Albin of Reston, VA, Allen Robertson of Hardinsburg, KY, Janet Goetz (Andrew) of Owensboro, KY and Mark Robertson (Kim) of Magnet, IN.

8 grandchildren: Jason Frank (Barb), Danielle Moore, David Moore (Grace), Jessica Holt (Mac), Morgan Goetz, Marcus Robertson, McCoy Robertson and Mattie Robertson.

2 step grandchildren: Ben Thomas (Kristin) and Brandon Thomas (Amber).

3 great grandchildren: Collin Grider, Aiden Grider and William Holt as well as Brooks Frank who is due later this year.

1 brother: Hubert McCoy of Mobile, AL

1 sister: Mary Jo McCoy of Hardinsburg, KY

Private funeral services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cloverport, KY with Fr. Dan Kreutzer officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Cloverport. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 from 10:30 am - 12:30 PM.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Calvary Cemetery.

The number of those attending visitation and the funeral services shall be within the current health and safety directives. Please do not bring food or drinks to the funeral home as they are not allowed at this time.
