Sharon Kay (Kennedy) Hale

Sharon Kay Kennedy Hale, age 62 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away July 29, 2021 at University Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born in Springfield, IL on July 2, 1959, the daughter of the late Kelly and Louise Wethington Kennedy. Sharon was an Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer with First State Bank in Hardinsburg where she worked for more than 42 years. She was well liked and respected by her co-workers and clients that she called friends. Sharon was a lifelong member of St. Romuald Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister to the homebound. Her family was her world. Her favorite time of the year was the Christmas season, where she declared one day to be "Christmas Cookie Day", a time that she spent with her children and grandchildren baking cookies, laughing and making memories. Sharon enjoyed scrapbooking and gardening. She had the most infectious smile and laugh. Her heart was so full of love for her family and community. In keeping with her giving manner, she has given the gift of life to many through her choice of donation with the hope that many families will continue to make more memories with theirs.

Sharon is survived by her husband Doug Hale of Hardinsburg, KY

3 children: Kelley (Doug) Dawson of Louisville, KY, Tara (Aaron) Branch of Shepherdsville, KY and Bradley (Hannah) Hale of Crestwood, KY

8 grandchildren: Mark Dawson, Nick Dawson, Mackenzie Taul, Mikayla Williams, Kennedy Dawson, Lillian Hale, Malorie Branch and Isla Hale

3 brothers: Steve (Venetta) Kennedy, Clyde (Lisa) Kennedy and Melvin (Patty) Kennedy of Hardinsburg, KY

2 sisters: Sandra (Greg) Hinton of Kirk, KY and Dianne (Randy) Clark of Payneville, KY

Sharon is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 2 PM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday from 10 AM - 1:30 PM. Please respect the wishes of the family and wear a mask for all services.
