Sam Henninger Obituary

Sam Watson Henninger, age 86 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, June 12, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Breckinridge County, KY on February 27, 1934, the son of the late Harry Hunter and Anna Mildred Smith Henninger. Sam was a retired Plant Design and Piping Engineer for Bechtel Company. He traveled the world visiting all continents and made many friends along the way. Sam kept very active refurbishing houses, being outdoors, buying and selling tools - he was a jack of all trades. Sam loved his family, especially his children. He will be greatly missed by the family he leaves behind in the United States as well as Spain.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Dan Henninger, Nancy Robbins, Harriett Riegler, Mildred Tabor and Ava Belle Baskett.

Sam is survived by his children: Michael Henninger of Goshen, KY. Nicole Henninger of Miami, FL and Sonya Henninger of Louisville, KY

His companion of many years Marie Reed of Hardinsburg, KY

In keeping with the wishes of Sam, cremation was chosen with no services.
