Russell Eugene Morton

Russell Eugene "Gene" Morton, age 70 of Harned, KY died Thursday, May 28, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on May 12, 1950. Gene was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and retired from Petroleum Service. He loved his family, especially family gatherings where he enjoyed good food and lots of fun. He was a very generous man who wanted to help others and did so by donating blood on a regular basis to the American Red Cross. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing his lawn and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father Harvey Russell Morton.

Gene is survived by Lois, his wife of 48 years.

2 brothers: Danny Morton and his wife Ann of Hardinsburg, KY Steve Morton and his wife Kim of Mt. Vernon, IN

1 sister: Robin Wilhite and her husband Steve of Texas

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church in Hardinsburg, KY on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 1 PM with Fr. Tony Jones officiating. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 11AM - 12:30 PM under CDC guidelines.
