Paul Newton Obituary

Paul Lavern Newton, age 77 of McQuady, KY passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Breckinridge Health in Hardinsburg, KY. He had battled many health issues over the past several years. Paul was born in West Frankfort, IL on January 12, 1943, the son of the late Roscoe and Thelma Newton.

Paul was proud to have served our country as a U.S. Marine, then worked in telecommunications for the Federal Reserve Bank until his retirement. He loved the farm and always found something to do outside. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, all of his dogs and spending time with "the good ole boys". His last adventure was in woodworking where he made some beautiful furniture pieces that should last forever.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Judith "Judy" Newton of McQuady, KY, daughter Michelle (John) Lass of Michigan, son Darron Newton of Wisconsin, sister Dolly Nadine Presley of Illinois, brother Jim (Phyllis) of Indiana and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children Jackie Marcil Newton, sisters Wilma and Dolly Mae, brothers Harold, Roy, Therman, Robert, Ron, Glen and Joe.

There will be no visitation as cremation was Paul's wish.

The family asks that memorial donations be made to the Good Samaritan Center in Hardinsburg, the Breckinridge County Animal Shelter, Breckinridge Health of the charity of your choice.
