Paul Wayne Hopfer, Sr., age 72 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 6, 1949, the son of the late Alfred and Wilma Hopfer. Paul was a proud and dedicated employee of Daimler Chrysler for 40 years and a member of UAW Local 2250. He enjoyed computer games, drove Chrysler automobiles and was an avid sports fan, especially St. Louis Cardinals and UK football. Paul was a very involved Papaw to wonderful grandchildren who adored him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Jonah David Hunt and brother-in-law Charles Hagan.

Paul is survived by his wife Terry Hopfer

4 children: Paul Hopfer, Jr. (Kisha), Brian Hopfer, Michael Hopfer and Kristi Hopfer

6 step children: Pete Kerce (Michelle), Nick Kerce (Angela), Cliff Kerce (Samantha), John Henning (Lisa), Jessica Greer (Derek) and Julie Hunt (Jason)

17 grandchildren and another due in March

3 brothers: Norman Hopfer (Virgie), Milton "Butch" Hopfer (Terri) and Steven Hopfer (Pat)

1 sister: Joyce Hagan

In keeping with the wishes of Paul, cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date.
