Obituary
Nina Marie Wilson, age 67 of Irvington, KY passed away April 23, 2023 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Guston, KY on December 18, 1955, daughter of the late Herbert Dowell and Rosie Thompson. Marie was a homemaker who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life - flower gardening, raising blackberries, playing computer games, Florida beach vacations and drinking a glass of tea while sitting in her swing. She adored her grandchildren and great grandson and they loved her. Her constant companion was her dog Ruffles.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her sister Mary Rogers.
Marie is survived by 2 children - Chris Wilson of Harned, KY and Kasey (Jeremy) Horsley of Huntersville, NC
4 grandchildren - Karissa Wilson, Travis (Camryn) Wilson, Kayela Bennett and Summer Gortney
1 great grandson - Lincoln Wilson
2 brothers - Johnny Dowell and Michael Dowell
4 sisters - Gwen Logsdon, Faye Carter, Dolly Heaton and Ina Rose Brown
many nieces and nephews
In keeping with the wishes of Maire, her family has chosen cremation with a memorial service at a later date.
