Maxine Carl Fuqua

Maxine Duke Fuqua, age 87 of Hardinsburg, KY died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Cloverport, KY on September 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Vol and Janie Mae Smith Duke. Mrs. Fuqua retired from Tell City Chair Company after approximately 28 years of service. She was a member of Calvary Temple Church. Mrs. Fuqua loved her family and enjoyed cooking for their gatherings. She was a caregiver for the elderly and enjoyed making crafts.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles, son Eddie, daughter Mary Ann, great great grandson - Jonah David Hunt, sisters Geneva Phillips and Jean Brink, brothers James, Morris, Lowell Eugene, Heyburt, Frank and Isaiah Duke.

4 grandchildren: Richard and Rodney Hunt, Lisa and Lori Fuqua

3 great grandchildren: Jason, Rianna and Chloe

3 sisters - Margaret Taylor of Lewisport, KY, Vina Louise Ziakas of Louisville, KY and Delois Ray of Cloverport, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 3 PM. Burial will be in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM on Sunday.
