Maxie Lois (Wilson) Harris

Maxie Harris, age 84 of Harned, KY died Monday, January 18, 2021 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Locust Hill, KY on October 16, 1936, the daughter of the late Hobart and Edith Davis Wilson. Maxie was a member of Westview United Methodist Church. She retired from Breckinridge Memorial Hospital after 33 years as an ER and OR tech. Maxie enjoyed sewing, quilting, her doll collection and shopping. She had quite a sense of humor and kept all those around her laughing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Harris and her brother Logan Wilson.

Maxie is survived by 5 children: Allen Dale Harris of Garfield, KY, Norita Ann Smiley (Leon) of Harned, KY, Suzy Harris of Garfield, KY, Gina Burk and Veletta Beatty (Bill) of Owensboro, KY

9 grandchildren: Jayme Knochel (Corey), Dustin Harris (Jennifer), Brandon Harris (Leslie), Teri Moreland (Michael), Jackie Williams (Kevin Ditto), Jill Cartwright, Jessica Burk, Alex and Adam Ogaz

13 great grandchildren: Avery, Colby, Larkyn, Carsen, Chandler, Charli, Mackenzie, George, Britain, Jaylin, Christian, Harper and Rose

Funeral services will be held at Westview United Methodist Church on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 11 AM for the immediate family. Others who wish to attend, can do so by listening to 90.3 FM from the church parking lot. Burial will be in the Harned Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
