Mark Alan Sterett

Mark Alan Sterett, age 63 of Duncan Valley, KY died Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was born in Custer, KY on April 25, 1956, the son of the late John and Alethea Board Sterett. Mark was a member of Custer United Methodist Church and Custer Masonic Lodge. He was a former employee of Illinois Central Railroad. Mark was a retired truck driver having transported goods for Wright Implement Company, Dee's Transport and Lucas Trucking. In his spare time, he was a farmer who had many interests that include gardening, birdwatching, restoring tractors and lawnmowers and working crossword puzzles. Mark was a soft spoken, kind and loving man who was quick witted. He loved his grandchildren and Easter was always a special time with them, as he would hatch baby chicks for them each year. Mark adored his family and they loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Marshall Sterett.

Mark is survived by his wife JoAnn Adkins Sterett of Duncan Valley, KY

2 sons - Jason Sterett of Duncan Valley, KY and Scott Sterett (Abby) of Fairfield, KY

5 grandchildren: Emma, Caden, Maddie, Landon and Adalee

1 sister: Debbie White (Mark) of Humboldt, TN

Private graveside services will be held at Cook Cemetery near Custer, KY under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
