Loyd D. "Tom" Howard

Loyd D. "Tom" Howard, age 77 of Custer, KY died Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Fairfield, KY on December 16, 1940, the son of the late Ben Howard and Lorene Whitworth Howard Carman. Tom grew up in the care of hhis grandparents Clevia "Judge" and Vennie Whitworth. He enjoyed all things outdoors - farming, hunting and fishing as well as playing the guitar, singing and time spent with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and 2 brothers - Junior Whitworth and Emmitt Carman.

Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years - Gloria Dodson Howard of Custer, KY
aunt - Mary Helen Allgood of Franklin, IN
brother - Kenny Thompson of Sandy Hook, KY
sister - Sheila Thompson of Elizabethtown, KY
8 nieces and nephews and their families

Funeral services will be held at Constantine Missionary Baptist Church on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11 AM with Bro. Mike Cannon officiating. Burial will be in the Cook Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 4-8 PM and Friday after 8 AM.
