Lora Esther Mattingly

Lora Esther Mattingly, age 99 of McQuady, KY passed away June 13, 2021 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital Nursing Facility. She was born in Breckinridge County on November 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Jesse Carl and Lula Voyles Limer. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and retired from Breckinridge Memorial Hospital Dietary Department. She had many interests that include reading, crocheting, quilting, sewing and embroidery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Owen, son Carl Mattingly, granddaughter Lisa Ross, son-in-law Michael Hebert, brothers Charles, Tom and Roy Limer and sisters Molly Wardrip and Nellie Powell.

Mrs. Mattingly is survived by 2 daughters - Loretta (Shelby) Newton of McQuady, KY and Betty Hebert of Florida

7 grandchildren: Keith (Romona) Mattingly, Debbie (Randy) Baker, Darrell (Debra) Mattingly, Karen Singleton, Tommy (Tracey) Newton, Libby ( Kevin) Harris and Becky (Rex) King

several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Corinth Baptist Church in McQuady, KY on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at 12 PM with burial in the McQuady Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church after 10:30 AM on Thursday.
