Laquita Ann Thomas, age 63 of Chatsworth, GA died April 12, 2020 at her residence as a result of injuries sustained from a tornado that passed through her community. She was born in Louisville, KY on September 7, 1956. She was a caregiver who enjoyed cooking and communicating with family and friends on Facebook. Laquita was a caring positive person who encouraged others to do the same.

She was preceded in death by her father Ora Willoughby, Jr.

Laquita is survived by her husband Joe Thomas of Chatsworth, GA

daughter: Wendy Willoughby Matthews of Garfield, KY

granddaughter: Karman Kayanna Matthews

mother: Ann L. Blythe of Garfield, KY

sister: Libby Donley (Ron) of Columbus, OH

brothers: Scott Willoughby (Carol) of Tampa, FL and Keith Barnes (Sharon) of Dayton, OH

many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families

Private graveside services will be held at Garfield Cemetery with Rev. Todd Brown officiating under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
