Kathy Jo Kiper

Kathy Jo Kiper, age 67 of LaGrange, KY and formerly of Kingswood, passed away June 25, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on November 10, 1953, the daughter of the late William Athel and Juanita Butler Kiper. Kathy was a devoted member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Pee Wee Valley. She was an Associate of the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph where she was part of their mission of Education and Formation especially in her church ministry with St. Romuald and St. Mary Magdalene. She attended Sullivan University where she received Certification in Medical Records and an Associate degree in Religion from Brescia University. Kathy was a former medical records clerk for Dr. James Sills.  She was an avid U K Wildcat fan and traveled to many SEC and NCAA tournament games. However, she had a love for the U of L Lady Cardinals and was a season ticket holder. Kathy loved her nieces, nephews and their families and was very supportive of them. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends, playing Bingo and Bunco.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Connie Gregory and brother Mike Kiper.

Kathy is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Keith and Carolyn Kiper of LaGrange, KY.

nieces, nephews and their families: Jennifer (Steve) Leslie, their daughter Jennay; Melissa Austin, her daughter Emma; Chris (Sherry) Gregory, their children Carman Gregory, Erica (Austin) Board, their daughter Braelyn, Derrick Medley; Bradley (Ashley) Kiper, their children Jackson and Maverick Kiper, Gavin and Landon Spencer.

She is also survived by many cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 12 PM with Fr. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 - 11:45 AM.
