Kathleen Glasscock Likens died in Norton's Audubon Hospital Hospice on September 29, 2020 in Louisville, KY due to complications following advanced dementia. She was 91.
She was born on July 13, 1929, in Axtel, KY to her parents, Gilbert F. Glasscock and Geneva Spencer. She acquired her G.E.D. from Elizabethtown Community College in 1982.
She loved being a bus driver for the Breckinridge County Board of Education up to her retirement in 1996. She loved family, friends, church, her farm, singing, dancing, crocheting, card games, playing piano, party gatherings, road trips, gardening, planting flowers, and sitting on her porch looking over Rough River Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Imogene "Jean" Glasscock and Margaret "Marge" Belcher, and her daughter, Judy Sego and son, Samuel "Shorty" Brown.
She is survived by her daughters and sons: Linda Wheatley of Louisville, KY; Shirley Hill of Sellersburg, IN; Donnie (Freda) Brown ; James "Toehead" Brown and Vicki West of Hardinsburg, KY; Grandchildren: Joseph "Joie" Wheatley , Lisa Wheatley, Kitty (James) Stinson, Richard Wheatley, Heather (Fred) Napper, James "Kelly" (Susan) Brown, Danielle (Joey) Saltsman, Destiny Brown, Mark (Gretchen) Brown, Shorty (Kim) Brown and many great-grandchildren and nieces: Vanessa Kay (Danny) Childress and son Dale, Anna Frances (James Daren) Cummings and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 10:30 AM until funeral service time at 1:00 PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in McDaniels Cemetery.
