John Allen Tucker

John Allen Tucker, age 73 of Westview, KY died Friday, December 27, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Locust Hill, KY on January 10, 1946, the son of the late Elza Tucker, Sr. and Pauline Nix Tucker. John operated Tucker Electronics, a business that he founded and worked for over 40 years. He was a Ham Radio operator whose call name was KY3O. He communicated with and made many friends all over the world, some as far as Russia. He raised Registered Polled Herefords, a profession that he was very passionate about and very proud of. John was a member of the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and a lifelong member of the Hereford Association. He was a FFA member, attended Fairview United Methodist Church and was a lifelong farmer. He loved his family and was very loved by them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Elza Tucker, Jr., sister Debra Boles, half-brother Omer Lee Tucker and half-sister Gwen Owen.

John is survived by his wife Sandra Haynes Tucker of Westview, KY

3 sons – John A. “J.J.” Tucker and his wife Crystal of Hudson,KY

Dale Tucker and his wife Denise of McDaniels, KY

Tim Tucker and his wife Janine of Hardinsburg, KY

6 grandchildren: Wesley, Turner, Gavin, Darcie, Erica and Nathan

In keeping with John’s wishes, cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 7 PM. Family and friends may visit on Thursday from 1:30 PM to service time at 7 PM.
