John Franklin Anthony

John Franklin "Jay" Anthony, age 80 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Oakwood Health in Tell City, IN. He was born in Mook, KY on August 29, 1940, the son of the late Franklin and Elsie Laslie Anthony. John was a retired farmer and carpenter. He enjoyed watching Westerns and Molly B Polka. He loved his family and their visits. John could be seen mowing his yard several days each week during the mowing season - this was a job he truly loved.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Judy, his daughter Stacy and his brother Thomas.

John is survived by 3 children: Frankie Anthony (Carol) and Jeff Anthony (Kristen) of Hardinsburg, KY, Darla Anthony (Ron Craft) of Lewisport, KY

3 grandchildren: Nikki Armes (Rory), Stacey and Sean Anthony

2 brothers - Jimmy Anthony of Custer, KY and Dee Anthony (Mary) of Irvington, KY

1 sister - Hazel Lucas of Custer, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 4-7 PM and Wednesday 9-11 AM.
