Jean Horlsey Obituary

Jean Haycraft Horsley, age 86 of Sample, KY died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Sample, KY on March 26, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Mary Ruth Dowell Haycraft. Jean attended Sample United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed yard sales, fishing and playing the lottery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her companion George Horsley, former husband William Horsley, granddaughter Brooke Horsley, brothers Virgil "Sam" and Harold Haycraft and sister Dorothy Haycraft.

Jean is survived by 5 children: David Horsley of Sample, KY, Tony Horsley (Wendy) of Concordia, KY, Pat Stilwell (Greg) of Kingswood, KY, Donna Smith of Sample, KY and Tammy Allen (Ricky) of Centertown,KY

11 grandchildren: David Horsley (Holly), Jeremy Horsley (Casey), Dustin Horsley (Shannon), Brent Stilwell (Samantha), Jeannie Norton (Mark), Brittany Poole, Ashley Smith, Joshua Shartzer, Travis Shartzer, Jacob Shartzer and Jacoby Allen

23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild

Graveside services will be held at Jolly Cemetery in Sample, KY on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Gary Jones officiating under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.
