Jason Flood Obituary

Jason Neil Flood, age 46, of Hardinsburg, KY, died on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on December 2, 1973 to Bernard "Bernie" Flood and Virginia Ann Critchelow Flood. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church. Jason was employed by Aleris where he worked as a Laboratory Technician.

Jason was a huge sports fan and loved everything U of L. He was a season ticket holder and attended as many games as possible. He enjoyed all Breckinridge County team sports and was a familiar face at the Hardinsburg Ballpark where he may be found helping to prepare the fields or sitting in the bleachers enjoying a game. Jason was also very involved in the Holt House Civil War Baseball Game both as a player and preparing that field for an old time game of baseball.

Jason enjoyed history and had become quite the collector of memorabilia from attending both flea market and auctions. Some of his "treasures" included old time record players from decades past as well as a vast collection of vinyl records. He also loved driving around in his Buick Regal.

Jason was a "friend to everyone" . He "loved to aggravate" anyone he considered to be family or friend which included a multitude of individuals. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews and was known to start a few water balloon fights with the kids that often ended with adults being involved as well.

Jason was a very giving person which also included the Gift of Life as he was a Kentucky Organ Donor.
