James Edward Wright

James Edward Wright, age 78, died on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 17, 1943 to the late Edward Lee and Virginia Irene Wright. James was a farmer and a member of Cloverport Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar and was also a craftsman making rings from nuts and bolts, which he then gifted to family. He loved his little chihuahua, Scotty. 

James was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff and Darrell Wright; sister, Mary Mucker and brother, Larry Wright. 

He is survived by his wife, Dora Wright of Hardinsburg, Ky

Sons: Rodney Wright and his wife, Tina of Green Bay, WI and Jason Wright of Cloverport.

Brothers: Charlie Wright of LaGrange, KY; Leonard Wright and William Wright (Hariette) of North Carolina

Sisters: Linda Sue Woods of Hardinsburg, KY; Cathy Laney of Owensboro, KY and Lisa Henderson of Leitchfield, KY

9 Grandchildren: Ashley, Paige, Courtney, Chance, Presley, Joey, James, Wendy and Jonathan

1 Great- Grandchild: Sonny

Visitation will by held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 3-5 PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home

Funeral service at 5 PM

Cremation to follow
