James Anthony "Jim" Rhodes

James Anthony "Jim" Rhodes, age 84 of Kirk, KY passed away Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Kirk, KY on October 7, 1936, the son of the late Allen and Bessie Ballard Rhodes. Jim was a member of St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Navy and a farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Anna Muriel Hines and brothers Ballard, Dan and Tom Rhodes.

Jim is survived by his wife Nancy Tate Rhodes of Kirk, KY

Her children: Perry (Patty) Lee and Tammy (Steve) Hawkins of McQuady, KY

His brother: Bob (Linda) Rhodes of Hardinsburg, KY

Jim was Papaw to Angel (Clay) Hensley and their children Lexi and Guy

Austin Alexander (Savannah), Haley Lee, Chase Robbins and Tommy Lee.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in McQuady, KY on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 3:30 - 7 PM and Wednesday, 8:30 - 10:00

 AM. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 6:30 PM.
