J. D. Lyons

J. D. Lyons, age 68 of Harned, KY died Monday, January 27, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Louisville, KY on December 21, 1951. J D was the owner and operator of Irvington Auto Sales. He enjoyed playing cards, race cars, riding his motorcycle and was quite the storyteller. J D was a very talented musician and singer. He could play most instruments including drums, guitar and the banjo.

He was preceded in death by his father Wayne Lyons, grandparents Dallie and Vera Lyons and sister Marty Dean Lyons.

J D is survived by his mother LaVerne Cook and her husband Allen of Louisville, KY
3 daughters: Tina Mitcham (Mike Styles) of Corydon, IN
Tracy Dyer (Quince) of Locust Hill, KY
Jayme Bassett (David) of Shepherdsville, KY
4 grandchildren: Rachael Aubrey (Josh), Branson Butler, Aaron Glenn and Madeline Bassett
6 great grandchildren: Brooklyn and Adalyn Aubrey, Luke Cox, Rory, Addyson and Elijah Glenn
1 brother: Jeremy Lyons of Elizabethtown, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 7 PM with Rev. Rebecca Heid officiating. Visitation will begin at 2 PM on Thursday.
