Iva Marie (Lucas) Riley

Iva Marie Riley, age 97 of Hardinsburg, KY died Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Buras, KY on March 12, 1923, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Ella Sharp Lucas. Iva was a member of Stephensport United Methodist Church. She retired from Galante Studio after 28 years and in her free time, she enjoyed gardening, especially tending to her flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John William Riley, her daughter Diana Kannapel, daughter-in-law Kay Riley, brothers J C and Lester Lucas and sisters Claudie Blair and Evelyn Royalty.

Iva is survived by 5 children: William (Dayle) Riley, Darrell (Janet) Riley and Bruce (Nita) Riley of Hardinsburg, KY, Barbara Hudson of Leitchfield, KY and Joyce (Eli) Duke of Hawesville, KY

15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren

A celebration of life service will be held at Stephensport United Methodist Church on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11 AM. Burial will be in the Hall Cemetery in Hardinsburg, KY. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-7 PM and at the church on Wednesday after 10 AM.
