Hassie Lee Owens Blue, age 96 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at her residence. She was born in McQuady, KY on June 1, 1924, the daughter of the late Henry and Mattie Lee Hamilton Owens. Hassie was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church and Eastern Star Chapter 131. She enjoyed yardwork, gardening and canning. She was a lovely lady with a soft voice, an infectious smile and well thought of in her community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Aloysius Louis Brown and siblings Rena Douglas, Pansy Dean, Zelona Slaughter, Allen, George, Marshall and John Owens, Robert Board.

Hassie is survived by her children: Carla Brown of Hardinsburg, KY, Regina Brown and Althea Dean of Irvington, KY, Sharon Battie of Florida and Kevin Poole of Owensboro, KY

2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
