Franklin C. "Dusty" Pile, age 87 of Hudson, KY died Monday, May 11, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Mook, KY on March 10, 1933, the son of the late Bill and Ora Jane Armes Pile. Dusty was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart and the Korean Service Medal with four bronze campaign stars. He was a hardworking farmer and enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling. He was a very faithful member of Fairview United Methodist Church which he attended for over 50 years.
His life touched all those around him with his example of his faith in Christ, his love of farming and his love for his wife and family.
He was preceded in death by his son William Orville "Billy" Pile, siblings Harold "Tobe" Pile, Anna "Jim" Frank, Alyne "Moss" Pile and Betty Sue Tucker.
Dusty was happily married to his wife Sue, who survives, for over 65 years.
He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Jerry Alan Pile and Jackie
4 grandchildren: Jerry Pile, Jr. (Susan), Jenna Medley (Ashton), Justin Pile (Chelsea) and Jessica Pile
5 great grandchildren and one expected later this year: Isabel, Reagan, Gibson, Macie and Lyle
brother: Gary Joe Pile (Hildegarde)
many nieces, nephews and friends who adored him
Private graveside services will be held with military honors under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
