Francis Gootee Obituary

Francis Lee Gootee, age 71 of Irvington, KY passed away November 6, 2021 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Stephenpsort, KY on August 1, 1950, the son of the late Junior Lee Gootee and Nettie Mae Smith Gootee.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Thomas Gootee and Sam Gootee; 3 sisters Linda Shaw, Georgie Gootee Miller and Maggie Ammons and his wife Alice Gootee.

He is survived by his daughter Marcie (Ray) Harris and son J T Gootee.

3 grandchildren: Christopher (Chelsey) Harris, Heather Harris and Angela Gootee

3 great grandchildren: Rylee and Leo Harris, Lilith Scott and another on the way.

1 brother: Jack (Wanda) Gootee

sister-in-law: Dorothy Gootee

In keeping with the wishes of Mr. Gootee, the family has chosen cremation with a memorial service at a later date.
