Obituary
Emma Dee Monarch, age 100 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away August 8, 2023 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on December 21, 1922, daughter of the late Maxine Jane Jackson and William Gabriel "W G" Shrewsbury. Emma Dee is a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church and a retired federal employee.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband George Monarch, Jr., son George "Gee" Monarch, III, grandson John Gibson Brown, brother V M Shrewsbury, sisters Stella Mallory and Mariola Halcomb.
She is survived by her daughter: Rebecca "Becky Brown and her husband Dwight of Hardinsburg, KY
daughter-in-law: Kathy Monarch of Hardinsburg, KY
Grandchildren: Dan Monarch (Christy) of Louisville, KY; Molly Wilson (Kelly) of Bowling Green, KY and Joe Brown (Natasha) of Hardinsburg, KY
Great-grandchildren: Mia, Audrey, Gabe, Taylor Jo and Garrett
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12 PM at the Hardinsburg Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10 AM.
