Ellis Wendell Armes

Ellis Wendell Armes, age 77 of Hardinsburg, KY died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on August 18, 1940, the son of the late Guy Ellis and Jane Davis Armes. Wendell was a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church, former Breckinridge County Jailer, former director with First Federal Savings and Loan, served on the Breckinridge County Board of Education and a charter member of Breckinridge County Community Center. He loved his family and was very proud of their accomplishments. He enjoyed music, watching westerns, visiting with friends and traveling with his wife. Wendell owned, trained and pulled horses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Hill Phelps and his brother Leonard Armes.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 5 PM with Rev. Greg Shannon officiating. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 12-5 PM.
