Dennis Wayne Moorman

Dennis Wayne Moorman, age 60 of McQuady, KY passed away August 20, 2021 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on November 23, 1960, the son of the late William and Rita Askin Moorman. Dennis was a self employed welder and heavy equipment mechanic. He loved his family and was always excited for them to visit so he could show his skills as the "Grill Master", but his role as Papaw meant the world to him. He adored his grandchildren and they him. Dennis enjoyed visiting with friends and family and never met a stranger. He would always greet you with a smile.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Phil Moorman, 2 infant siblings, nephew Josh Moorman, nieces Bailey and Michelle Moorman and brother-in-law Larry Flood.

Dennis is survived by his wife Brenda Moorman of McQuady, KY

4 daughters: Amanda (Larry) Clark and Abbey Moorman (Travis Burnett) of Cloverport, KY, Emily Moorman (Andrew Green) of McQuady, KY and Kandace (Jason) Bright of Lexington, KY

11 grandchildren: AddiMae, Charley and Lyle Roach, Ballard Clark, River and Riley Compton, Noah, Gabby and Claire Burnett, Lucy and Marcus Bright

3 brothers: Mike (Brenda) Moorman, Doug (Terry) Moorman and Mark (Shirley) Moorman of McQuady, KY

3 sisters: Ruth Ann (Ron) Wheeler, Patsy Flood and Kim (Jerry) Jarboe of Hardinsburg, KY

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in McQuady, KY on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 10 AM with Fr. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 3:30 - 8 PM and Wednesday after 8:30 AM. A prayer service will begin at 7:30 PM Tuesday.
