Charles Edward Phillips, Jr.

Charles Edward Phillips, Jr, aka Buddy or Charlie, age 69 of Glen Dean, KY passed away June 28, 2021 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Glen Dean, KY on February 22, 1952. Charlie was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching westerns. His family was very important to him and he loved family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his father Charles E. Phillips, Sr., grandson Daryl "DJ" Taylor, Jr., father-in-law Frank Hale and brothers-in-law Charlie Goff and Carl Hale.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 50 years - Wanda Hale Phillips of Glen Dean, KY

3 children: Betty Taylor (Richard Kirk), Charla Coats (Jason) and Charles Phillips, III (Jessica) of Falls of Rough, KY

7 grandchildren: Daryl and Phillip Taylor, Jala and Morgan Coats, Addy Porter, Ava and Olivia Phillips

2 great grandchildren: Phillip Taylor, Jr. and Brantley Taylor

His mother: Betty Bishop Phillips of Falls of Rough, KY

3 sisters: Barbara Albright (David), Cathy Goff and Judy Hunt (Wayne)

2 brothers: Kenny Phillips (Pam) and Donnie Phillips (Lesa)

Mother-in-law: Maggie Hale

2 sisters-in-law: Donna Clark (Bobby) and Sarah Hale

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 1 PM, the 51st Anniversary of Charles and Wanda's marriage. Burial will be in the Glen Dean Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 4-8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM.
