Anna M. Conder Stilwell, age 94 died Thursday, July 1, 2021 at Baptist Hospital East Palliative Care in Louisville, KY. She was born October 5, 1926 to Millard and Eliza Conder and lived most of her life in and around Hardinsburg. She had been a resident at the Jeffersontown Rehabilitation Center, formerly the Good Samaritan Society, in Jeffersontown since 2013 and became an active part of that community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alf, brothers Franklin, Robert, Denny and Joe Conder and a sister Margaret Jarboe.
Anna married Alfred O. Stilwell on March 14, 1950 and they have three sons: Doug (Nancy) and Mark (Julie) of Louisville and Greg (Pat) of Kingswood. In addition to her sons, she is survived by grandchildren Angel Long of Bowling Green, Michael (Amber) Stilwell of Centerville, GA, Terri (Mark) Norton of Hardinsburg, KY, Brent Stilwell of Kingswood, Emily Stilwell, Ryan Stilwell and Rachel (Dylan) Gray of Louisville, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, two sisters Faye (Bobby) Tucker of Rough River and Judy (Jerry) Fletcher of Louisville, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was a lifetime and loyal member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. She loved growing up and living in Hardinsburg and came to love the staff and other patients at her home at the Jeffersontown Rehabilitation Center.
Her funeral service will be held at the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church at 11 AM on Friday, July 9, 2021 with Rev. Greg Shannon and Rev. Paul Williams officiating. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday from 3:30 - 8 PM and Friday at the church after 9 AM.
