Anna Merle Haycraft

Anna Merle Haycraft, age 90 of Hawesville, KY died Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Heartland Villa in Lewisport, KY. She was born in Sample, KY on September 1, 1929. She was a member of Sample United Methodist Church. She was a former employee of American Olean Tile in Cloverport, KY, an adult caregiver and a homemaker. She loved her children and their families, cooking, gardening and flowers.

Anna was preceded in death by her mother Clara Evelyn Basham, husbands Virgil Haycraft and Mike Wheatley, daughter Donna Blair, great granddaughter Shelby Gail Henderson and brother William "Red" Basham.

She is survived by 5 children: Ernest Haycraft (Brenda) of Lewisport, KY
Dianne Staples (Raymond) of Hawesville, KY
Gary Haycraft (Irene) of Harned, KY
Bonnie Brown (Jerry) of Stephensport, KY
Steven Haycraft (Violet) of Cloverport, KY
21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 1 due in 2020, 6 great great grandchildren and 1 due in 2020.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, KY on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 1 PM with Rev. Justin Obenchain officiating. Burial will be in the Sample Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 4-8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
