Almeda Helm

Almeda Helm, age 100 of Louisville, KY died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County, KY on November 15, 1917, the daughter of the late Christopher Elliott and Nora Catherine Stith Lyons. She was a member of the Church of God, enjoyed dancing and was a big Elvis fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Lulie Thomas, Nettie Allen, Katie Daugherty, Hattie, Mattie, Heady, Allie, Raymond, Tommy, Harvey and Woodrow Lyons and 2 stepsons - T C Helm and Clarence Helm

Mrs. Helm is survived by 9 children: Raymond Helm, Earlene Smith, Alberta Fenton and Phyllis Helm of Louisville, KY
William Helm and Agnes Helm of Baltimore, MD
Loran Helm and Linda Helm of Leitchfield, KY
Grace Johnson of Shepherdsville, KY
3 stepchildren: Kenneth Helm of Florida
Nora Helm and Lillian Paul of Hardinsburg, KY
20 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12 PM. Burial will be in the Lyons Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 AM.
