Alma Carman Flowers, age 93 of Hardinsburg, KY and formerly of Custer, died Friday, May 22, 2020 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Buras, KY on April 8, 1927, the daughter of the late John and Mary Eliza West Carman. Alma was a member of Alexander Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and baking the best german chocolate cakes around. She also took great pleasure in caring for the children in her community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Kermitt Flowers and her siblings Christopher Carmon, Estill Carmon, Ernest Carman, Virginia Haire, Ruby Smith and Alda Foote.
Alma is survived by nieces and nephews: Aline Kiper, Ernest Franklin Carman, James Franklin Carman, Ralph D. Hudson, Kenneth L. Hudson, Beth Foote, Anna Mildred Edwards, Charles Carmon, Tammy Jones, Darrell Flowers and Kenny Flowers.
Private services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with Wilma Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Custer Cemetery.
