Alice (Hawkins) Hardcastle

Alice Hawkins Hardcastle, age 86, entered her Heavenly home on December 30, 2021. She and her husband Donald had been married 65 years. Alice was born in Hardinsburg, KY and was one of 10 children of the late Clay and Alwilda Hawkins. She graduated from Western Kentucky University and was a long time teacher in the Hardinsburg school system. She lived in Breckinridge County her whole life until they moved to Tullahoma, Tennessee in 2011 to be nearer her family. She was a faithful member of Hites Run Baptist Church until her move to Tennessee and taught Sunday school and Bible school regularly and shared her love of Christ with many generations. After moving to Tennessee she joined Rutledge Falls Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Don, daughters Winilee Tabor, Alisa (Vernon) Scribner and son Don, Jr. (Paige), 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and her brother Jerry (Janine) Hawkins.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 1 PM with a graveside service following the funeral at Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 1-5 PM and Sunday after 10 AM.
