Velma Bennett Stewart Obituary

Velma Bennett Stewart, age 77 of Indianapolis, Indiana died Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Eskenazi Hospital. She was born in Andyville, KY on March 16, 1941, the daughter of the late Oris Hardin and Iva Pipes Bennett. Velma was the owner and operator of Velma's Kitchen. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Randolph Stewart , her brother Robert Bennett and sisters LaVerne Kellems, Marcella Allen and Dorothy McBride.

Velma is survived by 4 children
6 grandchildren including her grandson Tim Stewart who was her caregiver and several great grandchildren
1 brother - James Bennett of Louisville, KY
2 sisters - Ileene Kellems of Radcliff, KY and Mry Hack of Louisville, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 12 PM. Burial will be in the New Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation on Monday, 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 8:30 AM.
