Todd Jennings Newby

Todd Jennings Newby was born on December 22, 1971 in Louisville, Kentucky to Earl and Marie Weatherholt Newby. Todd died tragically on June 8, 2019 in Tell City, Indiana. Todd was a big University of Tennessee football and basketball fan and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a graduate of the 1990 class of Breckinridge County High School. He resided in Tell City Indiana where he had been employed at Waupaca Foundry since 1998. Prior to that he served in the Air Force and worked at the Walmart in Hardinsburg.

He is survived by his children SSgt. Kenny (Emily) Tesmer of Tucson, Arizona and Madison Newby of Tell City, Indiana; his mother and stepfather Jerry and Marie Rose of Hardinsburg; his sisters - Christy Feldpausch of Lewisport, Kimberly (Brock) Rydecki of Murray, Kentucky, and Carrie (Derek) Prior of Ferdinand, Indiana; and his brothers - Jon (Becky) Rose of Decatur, Georgia and Aaron (Dana) Newby of Lewisport; and his stepmother Gail Newby of Cloverport; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Newby and his maternal grandparents Gilbert & Elizabeth Weatherholt and paternal grandparents Walter & Edna Newby.

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Tuesday, 4-8 PM and Wednesday, 8 – 10:30 AM. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 7 PM.
