Oretha Mercer Obituary

Oretha Gayle Mercer, age 64 of Cloverport, KY died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Norton Women's and Children's Hospital. She was born in Hardinsburg, KY on October 28, 1953, the daughter of the late Wallace and Rachel Simmons Driskell. Oretha enjoyed being with her family and friends, playing pool and watching TV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Linda Young and brothers Venus Driskell, Donald Driskell and William Driskell.

Oretha is survived by 2 children: Robert Clay Driskell (Amanda) of Louisville, KY
Doni Gayle Mercer of Ekron, KY
4 grandchildren: Elissa Dean, Dylan, Riley and Sammy Driskell
1 great grandchild: Kamiyah Hunt
5 brothers: Wallace C. Driskell, Jr. (Sandy) of Indianapolis, IN
Larry F. Driskell (Patsy) of Shepherdsville, KY

Graveside memorial service will be held at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Hardinsburg, KY on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 1 PM with Rev. Bob Sharp officiating under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home.
