Mary Nannette Bates

Mary Nannette Bates, age 64 of Kingswood, KY died Friday, December 7, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She was born in Kingswood, KY on October 21, 1954, the daughter of the late William Celian and Hazel Frank Henninger Hardin. She was a member of Kingswood Wesleyan Church and a former employee of Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. Nannette had many interests that include travel, sewing, singing and making walking sticks. She was such a funny lady with a great sense of humor. She decorated for every occasion and kept a tree up all year long. Nannette loved to re-gift and occasionally took items from her home to give as gifts for her family - again, that funny sense of humor. Halloween was an event that was year round in Nannette's home - she had more costumes than most stores.

In addition to her parents, Nannette was preceded in death by her husband Mike Bates, sisters - Billie and Jenny Lou and brothers - Jack and George.

She is survived by her son Kenny Carman of Kingswood, KY

daughter - Jodi Hutchison and her husband Adam of Cloverport, KY

3 stepdaughters - Annette Compton and her husband Mark of Garfield, KY

Evette Goff and her husband Chris of Utica, KY

Rachel Flood and her husband Charlie of Hardinsburg, KY

19 grandchildren

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home 308 South Hardin Street Hardinsburg, KY 40143 on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1 PM. Burial will be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday after 10 AM.
