Juanita Mae Priest Lucas

Juanita Mae Priest Lucas, age 81 of Louisville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. She was born in Irvington, KY on May 13, 1937, the daughter of the late Raymond and Katie Huffines Priest. Mrs. Lucas had many interests that include cooking, playing bingo, bunco and slots.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Theodore “Sonny” Lucas, who died 4/24/18, 4 brothers and 4 sisters – Mildred Priest, Verdema “Boo” Board, Daisy “Dee” Whitworth, Agnes Lucas, Ralph “Pooge” Priest, Charles “Sam” Priest, Howard “Cobb” Priest and Bill Priest.

Mrs. Lucas is survived by 5 children: Jimmy Howard and Teana Lease of Louisville, KY, Doug Lucas (Cindy) of Columbus, IN, Davina Chambers (Tony) of Floyds Knobs, IN and Marina Hardin (Clay Offutt) of Shepherdsville, KY, 5 grandchildren: Michael Howard, Adam Lucas, Justin Lucas, Ryan Vance and Jenna Hardin, 2 great grandchildren: Justin Howard and Evan Lee, 2 sisters: Wilma Allen of Louisville, KY and Loretta Riggs of Irvington, KY

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 11 AM CDT with burial in the Garfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 3:30 – 8 PM CDT and Friday after 8 AM CDT.
