James Donald Napier, age 89 of Hardinsburg, KY died February 11, 2018 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on December 6, 1928, the son of the late Lloyd and Pearl Isaacs Napier. Sergeant First Class Napier retired from the United States Army on February 28, 1966 after serving more than 20 years. He served during World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. After retirement, he worked at Walmart and was a bus driver for the Breckinridge County Board of Education. He was a former member of the VFW and Breckinridge County Moose Lodge. Don enjoyed music, dancing, reading, being outdoors and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Pat Napier of Hardinsburg, KY
4 sons – Doug Napier of Ohio, Russ Napier of Delaware, Ohio,Jeff Napier of Hamilton, Ohio and Duane Probus of Wilmington, Ohio

21 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 2 great greatgrandchildren

A memorial service will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 1 PM with Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM on Saturday.
